The 5th Istanbul International Water Forum will be held on 5–6 May 2026 in Istanbul, jointly organized by the Turkish Water Institute (SUEN) and the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works (DSİ) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also among the main partners of the event.

Held under the overarching theme “Strengthening Water Resilience: Innovation to Action,” the Forum will bring together representatives from national and international organizations, policy-makers, and expert to discuss new approaches for developing sustainable water management policies in light of global climate change.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı emphasized that since its inception, the Istanbul International Water Forum has served as a prestigious global platform that shares Türkiye’s vision on water management with the world and strengthens cooperation and partnerships. He expressed his confidence that the 5th edition will make significant contributions to scientific and policy developments in the field of water management, both nationally and globally.
“I believe that the 5th Istanbul International Water Forum will provide valuable contributions to our country and to the world in light of scientific advancements in water management. I invite the global water community to gather in Istanbul to contribute to the global and regional water agenda and to strengthen cooperation,” he added.
