In addition to conducting scientific research, developing strategic thinking and coordinating water-related institutions, SUEN; as a national and international training center, shares Türkiye’s technical knowledge and experience in water and sanitation. Since its inception, more than 2,000 participants from over 50 countries attended the capacity development programs organized by SUEN.

Training programs cover the following topics: 

  • Water governance

  • Master planning in the water sector

  • River basin scale planning

  • Water and sanitary engineering

  • Wastewater management in rural areas

  • Water and sewage network management

  • Groundwater management

  • Field visits to treatment plants 

Trainings are provided by experienced professors specializing in water and wastewater treatment. Training programmes are tailored to the needs of each group and include technical visits to treatment facilities and water administrations.
