INBO promotes integrated water resources management at river basin level as an essential tool for sustainable development. SUEN hosted the 10th European Conference “Europe-INBO 2012” on the implementation of the Water Framework Directive in Istanbul in October 2012. The Conference adopted the “Istanbul Declaration” and SUEN took over the presidency of Europe-INBO for the 2013-2014 term.
