SUEN President Prof. Dr. Lütfi Akca participated in the 91st Board of Governors Meeting of the World Water Council (WWC) and the Cairo Water Week events held in Cairo.
The meeting and events served as an important platform for discussing the global and regional water agenda, strengthening water diplomacy, and conducting strategic consultations ahead of upcoming international events.
Within the framework of the WWC Board of Governors Meeting, Prof. Dr. Akca shared information on the preparations for the 5th Istanbul International Water Forum, which will be hosted by Türkiye on 5–6 May 2026, and held bilateral meetings with WWC members and other stakeholders.
In addition, during the sessions of Cairo Water Week, he presented assessments on Türkiye’s water diplomacy vision, regional cooperation approaches, and sustainable water management policies.
