Focusing on the Beyşehir Lake Sub-basin within the Konya Closed Basin, this gap analysis project aims to determine the overlapping issues of institutions working on water management and water policy, and identify steps to be taken in order to resolve conflicts and collisions.
The main goal of the study has been to determine the problems arising from the legislation and the perspectives and practices of institutions related to water management, improve interagency coordination via gap analyses of basin-wide water policies (strengths and weaknesses), and determine water strategies specific to the pilot area that will allow for the sustainable management of water resources.
