Within the scope of this study, a spatial analysis-based opportunity map will be developed by considering Türkiye’s diverse climatic regions, land characteristics, and urban features, assessing and ranking the potential of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) to reduce climate risks alongside their feasibility of implementation.
The opportunity map to be produced will provide strategic guidance for decision-makers in climate change adaptation processes by presenting, in a data-driven and visualized manner, which types of NbS are most suitable and should be prioritized in specific regions.
Consequently, the project output will establish a sustainable and evidence-based planning framework, supporting the identification of priority intervention areas and policy options aimed at enhancing climate change adaptation.
