The Republic of Korea and the World Water Council established the Water and Green Growth (WGG) concept and launched the WGG Project in 2010, with an aim to highlight the role of water in terms of achieving the wellbeing and social equity in parallel with environmental sustainability. The outcomes of the WGG were compiled in a report that was launched at the 7th World Water Forum in Daegu-Gyeongbak, Republic of Korea in April 2015. The report features case studies from eleven countries and analyzes them within economic growth, environmental protection, and social development objectives. SUEN took part in the WGG Project as the local consultant for the Golden Horn Case Study in Istanbul.
